Today,
more than half of the music for Wolfy is complete.
Misha has been working relentlessly setting my FANTASTIC
libretto, and so many aspects of his music are coming along
wonderfully including his musical characterization of the
individuals in the opera. Not only is it entertaining, but
it is quality, superior material. Amazingly, there has been
only one head-on collision between the two of us with regards
to text versus music. I wish it was always this easy!!
I
have also been working on getting the word out about us!
I have spent hours adding the company to listings and
directories, and I have started to compile lists of those
to whom I should send out information about the genesis
of our fabulous group. I am also working hard, trying
to decide when would be the best time to set as the date
for the premier performance of Wolfy. Keep checking
back for info on that!
Bonne
nuit!

Today,
I am happy to announce that I have added Elizabeth Cooper's
biography and recordings to our lovely site! Please,
listen to her recordings here,
and go read her bio here.
Other than that, the news is that libretto is finished,
and the music for Wolfy is coming along nicely,
and seeing as though I am one of the hardest people
to please when it comes to music, the fact that I am
LOVING the newly conceived melodies and musical happiness
that our MAD RUSSIAN has been composing, well that makes
me incredibly happy and excited about what is to come!
It should make you excited too!! So, JUMP up in the
air and yell out YIPPEE!!! Perhaps I am also so elated
due to my victory last night at the Valentine's Karaoke
Contest and Gilbert's downtown. Yes, ladies and gents,
we are opera singers who do it all! Not just Puccini
and Mozart but, Aretha Franklin, Jazz Standards and
Indigo Girls! CHECK BACK SOON!!!

The
libretto (text) for Wolfy is almost complete, and the
music is well on its way! So check back soon for updates
on performance dates and venues, so that you can plan
your excursion to one (or more) of our performances.
As
for my own part of the genesis of this work....well....let
me just say, I have now ended up writing emails in VERSE
and RHYME...that's a little irritating. (Actually, it's
not. It is just funny.) For the most part, however,
this opera has been nothing but fun. It is so exciting
to experience the birth of a piece of art, and I look
forward to MANY more!!! It is a lot of hard work but
it is well worth it!
