Katie Baughman, soprano, is a second year graduate
student at Georgia State University in the studio
of Dwight Coleman. After making her professional
debut at the Bellingham Festival of Music in Le
Nozze di Figaro, The Bellingham Herald said, "Young
Katie Baughman was delightful in her role as the
coy Barbarina."
Other operatic performances include the roles
of Antonia and Olympia in Les Contes d'Hoffman,
Miss Wordsworth in Albert Herring and Nella in
Gianni Schicchi. Katie recently returned to the
musical theatre stage performing the role of Laurey
in Oklahoma. Equally at home on the concert stage,
Ms. Baughman has sung the soprano solos in Mozart's
Requiem, Bach's Cantata 140, Handel's Messiah,
Rutter's Requiem and Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass
and St. Nicholas Mass.
