Jennifer
is a young mezzo-soprano and a rising senior vocal
performance major in the College of Music at Florida
State University, under the instruction of the
internationally renowned soprano Cecily Nall.
Ms. Hamilton has performed in the Florida State
Opera productions of Carlisle Floyd's Susannah,
Giuseppe Verdi's Falstaff, and Wolfgang
Amadeus Mozart's Don Giovanni. She is
very active in the opera programs of workshop
and youth outreach and is a member of the Florida
State University Singers’ Chorus. Jennifer has
also performed with the Early Music department
as a featured soloist.
Ms.
Hamilton has studied voice at the summer programs
of Boston Conservatory and the Georgia Governor’s
Honors Program. While a member of the Georgia
Regional Girl’s Choir, she toured and performed
in venues in the Northeastern United States, England
and Wales. Jennifer has participated and placed
first in National Association of Teachers of Singing
regional competitions. Ms. Hamilton has enjoyed
many solo performances, including performances
at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York
and as a featured soloist with Orchestra Atlanta.
Ms.
Hamilton is very enthusiastic about her involvement
in The New Opera.
